Working principally with images from the environment around me, I aim to open the eyes of others to the beauty that is close at hand but often goes unnoticed. Etching in non-conventional ways I develop complex layering of multiple images then use colour to enhance subdue or embellish.

The simple laying of images produces a more complex whole, where pulling out and pushing back different elements with colour assists the eye in taking a walk around the page.

Starting with a concept and an idea with no fixed or determined outcome I enjoy allowing the piece to take me where it is heading.
